Thursday, March 22nd:  Natural Gas Safety

4 Hours

One Session:  8AM - Noon

This session is geared for anyone involved with natural gas-related emergency and incident response activities including, but not necessarily limited to:

• Natural Gas professionals who have a need to coordinate with their local fire service;
• Senior fire service and hazmat team trainers;
• Heavy-duty towing and recovery professionals specializing in hazmat recovery; and
• Law enforcement hazmat personnel.

This class will cover:

• NFPA 52 – Vehicular Gaseous Fuel Systems Code
• EPA Certified Kits by Final-Stage Vehicle Integrator/Manf.
• DOT and ANSI/IAS NGV2 Approved Tanks for vehicles
• ASME Compliance for all CNG Fueling Storage
• Electrical zones – Zone 1 or 2 as defined in NFPA 70
• Warning Signs – Vehicles and Fueling sites
• NGVi, ASE, NAFTC, specific state requirements
• CNG Vehicle and Conversion Kit 101:
• Labeling – How to correctly identify different items

Kent Meadows as Vice-President of NGV Solutions, in 2011, established a Mississippi based company to provide private companies, municipalities, counties/parishes, and other government agencies with turn-key solutions for their Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) needs. From small time-fill compression to Fast-fill public stations along with CNG conversions on vehicles, Kent’s consulting, problem solving, and specialized solutions allow him to design options to meet each client’s needs. NGV Solutions supports and maintains compressors stations across the Southeast. Currently NGV Solutions maintains four private CNG stations for clients in Louisiana. In addition to NGV Solutions, Kent has worked with alliances to promote alternative fuel legislation. Kent has served on Boards of private schools, civic organizations, churches and ministry-based charities. Prior to NGV Solutions, Kent’s background includes Automotive Dealership operations, Project Management, and business consulting.  Kent is a native Mississippian who now resides in Madison MS.
