$41 Million in DOE Funding Available
State and Local Governments are able to access this funding in order to boost battery recycling (Sept 16 deadline)
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) has made available up to $41 million for states and local governments to expand batter recycling programs. To learn more, please read the full press release here and see the topline information below:
As part of a larger $63M grant opportunity, DOE is making $41M in BIL funding available for states and units of local government to create new or enhance existing battery collection, recycling, and reprocessing programs, with a focus on awareness, education, and community benefits.
