U.S. Department of the Treasury Seeks Feedback on Clean Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Vehicle Infrastructure Tax CreditsThe U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service released three notices requesting public input on several tax credit provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Notice 2022-56 requests input on the new Commercial Electric Vehicle and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Tax Credit and the modified Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (45W and 30C). Read more and respond to all three of the official notices. These notices provide an opportunity for the public to give feedback on how to implement these tax incentives, which have the potential to rapidly accelerate the deployment of clean vehicles in the United States. Written comments should be submitted by Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. Consideration will be given, however, to any written comment submitted after Dec. 3, 2022, if such consideration will not delay the issuance of guidance. To learn more about the benefits of IRA more broadly, the White House has published a fact sheet for each state on How the Inflation Reduction Act Lowers Energy Costs, Creates Jobs, and Tackles Climate Change Across America. |
