Happy New Year!
Louisiana Clean Fuels looks back on 2021 - Here is a summary of our accomplishments together:
- LCF was redesignated as a Clean Cities coalition by US Department of Energy
- LCF brought in $130,000 of grant funding to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (Drive Electric USA) and to install level 2 chargers (Entergy's Environmental Initiatives Fund).
- We are a major part of a winning grant team that was awarded funding to develop a national outreach and education program that will create tools and resources that will advance employer commitments to installing work place charging for electric vehicles. This project will bring in an additional $85,000 to our coalition over 3 years.
- Hosted 20+ hours of clean fuels education and an additional 25 hours of outreach activities
- Created three Drive Electric Louisiana Chapters to build community support for EV adoption
- Supported the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality's Volkswagen Settlement program through technical support and NOx emission reduction analysis
- LCF's Executive Director, Ann Vail, served on the Governor's Climate Initiatives Task Force's Transportation Sector Committee and worked with stakeholders to successfully submit multiple "Action" proposals.
- Expanded our Green Fleets Certification program statewide
- Launched our 1st ever PR campaign on our YouTube channel along with growing our library of educational webinars online
- Hosted a successful Virtual Clean Fuels Summit with over 200 attendees over two days of webinars
- Hosted our 2nd Clean Fuels Golf Classic fund raiser at Pelican Point in Gonzales, LA
